Description

  • 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, about 6 ounces each
  • pinch salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp whole grain dijon mustard
  • pinch salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil. Ensure the pan allows space around each chicken breast for even cooking.
  • In a small sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 to 60 seconds until softened without browning. Stir in honey, whole grain Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly.
  • Season the chicken breasts lightly with salt and pepper on both sides. Carefully place the chicken in the heated baking pan, spacing them apart.
  • Pour the hot honey Dijon glaze evenly over the chicken breasts. Bake for 15 minutes in the oven.
  • After 15 minutes, baste the chicken with the glaze collected in the bottom of the pan and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 170°F.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Basting the chicken helps keep it moist and flavorful during baking.
Adjust seasoning according to your taste preference.
