Description

These Turkey Meat Balls are bursting with flavor and made with ground turkey, fresh herbs, and spices. Perfect for a quick dinner or meal prep!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup plain bread crumbs, or italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 shallots, minced (approx. ¼ cup)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter, grated
  • 1 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 24-oz. marinara sauce, 2 jars
  • 8 oz. angel hair pasta, or any kind of pasta
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • more fresh basil and parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, shallots, garlic, oregano, parsley, basil, ground pepper, and salt.
  2. Use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix everything evenly.
  3. Fold in cold grated butter and ensure it is well distributed in the mixture.
  4. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, yielding about 12 meatballs.

Notes

Use Italian breadcrumbs for extra flavor if desired.
Ensure the butter is cold to help keep the meatballs tender.
Serve with marinara sauce and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
