Description

These Apple Cinnamon Blondies offer a perfect blend of sweet apples, warm cinnamon, and rich brown sugar, making them a delightful dessert for any occasion. Easy to prepare and simply delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peeled cored, and chopped apples (½” pieces)
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¾ cups dark brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. In a frying pan over medium heat, combine the prepared apples, dark brown sugar, and ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the apples soften. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and parchment-line an 8×8” baking pan, leaving overhangs for easy removal later.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the all-purpose flour, baking powder, kosher salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg together until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, packed dark brown sugar, egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients using a rubber spatula until most of the flour is incorporated. Fold in the cooled apple mixture and any juices until fully combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned. Be careful not to overbake!
  7. Allow the blondies to cool completely on a wire rack before applying icing.

Notes

Ensure apples are well-chopped for even distribution in the blondies.
Optional: Add chopped nuts for extra crunch and flavor.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
