- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉ and line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the softened butter, 1 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl, then stir in the all-purpose flour.
- Press about 2/3 of the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch, then add the fresh blueberries and stir to combine.
- Spoon the blueberry mixture over the baked bottom crust and gently spread it to an even layer.
- Crumble the remaining mixture over the blueberry layer.
- Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- For optional icing, whisk together the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk, adding more milk as necessary for a drizzling consistency.
- Drizzle the icing over the cooled bars and enjoy.

For best results, use fresh blueberries for maximum flavor.
