These Cheese Twists with Puff Pastry are a delightful blend of flavors, featuring rich cheddar and Parmesan cheese. They’re simple to prepare and make an ideal snack or appetizer for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
- Unfold the thawed sheets of puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Roll out to smooth out the creases and even the pastry.
- Pour half of the melted butter onto each sheet and spread evenly. Sprinkle half of the garlic salt, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese onto each puff pastry sheet.
- Cut the puff pastry into 3/4-inch wide strips using a pizza cutter. Twist each strip and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg and water together. Use a pastry brush to apply the egg wash to each puff pastry.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until puffed and lightly golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm or at room temperature.
