Description

Enjoy this Easy Blueberry Crisp, featuring a deliciously sweet berry filling and a perfectly crumbly topping that’s both simple to prepare and utterly satisfying for any dessert lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9 x 9 pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix the blueberries with sugar, flour, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and water. Stir until the mixture thickens.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend the crisp topping ingredients: flour, brown sugar, quick oats, and cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture is crumbly, then sprinkle it over the berry mixture.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes until the topping is golden brown.

Notes

Using fresh blueberries enhances the flavor, but frozen blueberries can also work if fresh ones are not available.
Adjust the sugar according to your taste preference, especially if using very sweet blueberries.
