Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups popcorn, popped
  • 3 cups bugles
  • 3 cups pretzels
  • 1 cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup m&m's, fall or halloween colors
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the popped popcorn, bugles, pretzels, and peanuts. Set aside.
  3. For the syrup, combine the sugar, corn syrup, water, butter, baking soda, cinnamon, and ginger in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring often until it boils rapidly and reaches 235 degrees F.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour the syrup over the popcorn mixture and gently mix to coat them evenly. Transfer the mixture to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or coated with nonstick spray.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 325 degrees F, stirring every 7-8 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool completely at room temperature. Break apart the mix into smaller pieces, then add the M&M's and candy corn, mixing well.
  7. Serve in a large bowl or individual cups. Store in an airtight container for 3-5 days.

Notes

For an added twist, consider using different types of nuts or seasonal candies.
Store the mix in an airtight container to maintain its crunchiness.
Make sure to stir the mix while baking to achieve an even coat of syrup.
