Description

This Homemade Apple Cider Syrup features an irresistible blend of apple juice, brown sugar, and spices, creating a delightful topping for pancakes, waffles, and more. With a straightforward preparation process, it’s perfect for adding a homemade touch to your breakfast or desserts.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium heat and add the apple juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, apple cider vinegar, and butter. Whisk until blended.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and keep boiling for 2 minutes while stirring occasionally.
