These Homemade Artisan Crackers are packed with flavor and incredibly easy to make. With delightful additions like rosemary and garlic, they’re an ideal snack for any occasion.

- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading and rolling
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary or other add-in
- 2/3 cup (160g/ml) water
- 3 tablespoons (41g/45ml) extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing on top
- flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and rosemary together.
- Add water and olive oil, mixing until the dough forms a clump.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface, knead for 1-2 minutes, then let rest covered for at least 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cut the dough in half, covering one half while working with the other.
- Roll out the dough very thinly to about 1/16th of an inch.
- Cut the rolled dough into small rectangles and place them on baking sheets.
- Repeat with the second half of the dough.
- Dock the crackers with a fork, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes until golden brown and rotate the sheets halfway through.
- Cool completely on a rack before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, try substituting rosemary with other herbs or spices.
Store crackers in an airtight container to maintain crispiness for up to 2 days.
To re-crisp, bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
