Description

These Key Lime Pie Bars bring luscious flavor with a tangy key lime filling atop a buttery graham cracker crust. Perfect for any gathering, they are a simple and delicious treat that will impress anyone.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter (melted)
  • 28 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • ¾ cup key lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons lime zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  3. Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and ground cinnamon in a bowl before adding the melted butter. Stir until well combined.
  4. Press this mixture firmly into the base of the lined baking dish to form the crust.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, egg yolks, key lime juice, vanilla extract, and lime zest until smooth.
  6. Pour the lime mixture over the crust and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until set.
  8. Allow to cool before chilling in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

Chilling the bars enhances the flavor and texture.
For an extra zesty touch, garnish with whipped cream or lime slices before serving.
