Description

Red, White, and Blue Berry Dessert Bites are bursting with flavor and freshness. This easy-to-make dessert features fluffy cream cheese filling, topped with vibrant raspberries and blueberries, all nestled in a golden crescent roll crust. Perfect for summer gatherings or as a delightful treat any time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract, divided
  • 1 cup + 1 teaspoon powdered sugar, divided
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup raspberries, or more if needed
  • 1 cup blueberries, or more if needed
  • fresh mint or fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a 15x10x1-inch sheet pan or a similar-sized pizza pan and press the perforations to seal.
  3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
  4. In a chilled non-reactive bowl, combine the cold heavy cream and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Whisk until it holds a loose peak.
  5. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon powdered sugar on top of the whipped cream and continue whisking until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  6. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Gently stir the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
  8. Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  9. Top with raspberries and blueberries as desired.
  10. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with fresh mint or basil leaves.

Notes

Make sure the heavy cream is cold for better whipping results.
You can substitute the berries with other fruits if preferred.
Let the dessert bites cool completely before adding the cream cheese layer to prevent it from melting.
