- 1 small seedless watermelon
- 8 apples
- ½ yellow honeydew melon
- 4 cups strawberries
- 2 cups raspberries
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 cup red grapes
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice per 1 cup of water for soaking apples
Instructions
- Wash all fruit and allow them to dry.
- Cut watermelon, apples, and honeydew melon into small squares. Halve or quarter the strawberries as needed. Soak the sliced apples in a lemon juice water mixture for at least 10 minutes if not serving immediately.
- Arrange blueberries and blackberries at the top left of your dish and layer red and white fruits in a horizontal line for a flag effect.
- Slice an apple into stars using a cookie cutter and place on top of the blue layer to complete the patriotic look.
Notes
Feel free to add or substitute any of your favorite fruits.
If preparing in advance, soak apples right after cutting to prevent browning.
