- 6 oz red gelatin (170g)
- 6 oz blue gelatin (170g)
- boiling water (amount as per gelatin box)
- cold water (amount as per gelatin box)
- 12 fl. oz heavy whipping cream (350ml)
- 5 fl. oz sweetened condensed milk (150ml)
- whipped cream (to taste)
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Follow the instructions on the back of the gelatin boxes for both red and blue varieties.
- Transfer the prepared gelatin into an 8×8 (20cmx20cm) dish and refrigerate for about 4 hours, until completely set.
- Once set, cut the gelatins into squares according to the size of your cups using a utility knife.
- Carefully remove the squares to prevent breaking, using a teaspoon or spatula for ease.
- In 8oz (237ml) or smaller cups, layer a few gelatin squares at the bottom, alternating colors and pressing against the sides for visibility.
- Pour about 1.5 tablespoons of the cream on the gelatine and repeat the layering until reaching the top.
- Finish with whipped cream and sprinkles for decoration.
Notes
For quicker setting, use the Quickset method as indicated on the gelatin box.
Chilling the cups after assembling can enhance the flavor and texture of the dessert.
