Description

This Simple Peach Crisp with Oat Topping is a delightful dessert bursting with sweet, juicy peaches and topped with a crunchy oat mixture. It’s easy to prepare and a comforting treat for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 5 cups peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold & cubed
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prepare a pie pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Pit, peel, and slice the peaches to fill 5 cups, then transfer them to a medium-sized bowl.
  3. Mix the peaches with sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, and lemon juice until well combined.
  4. Spread the peach mixture evenly in the prepared pie pan.
  5. In a food processor, combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon, then pulse together.
  6. Add in the cold, cubed butter and pulse until crumbly textures form.
  7. Gently mix in the old-fashioned rolled oats until just combined, then distribute the mixture over the peaches.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping turns golden brown.

Notes

For added flavor, try using a mix of different peaches like yellow and white.
