Ingredients

- 2 cups (296 g) fresh blueberries, (or frozen)
- 2 medium lemons, (peeled, quartered)
- 2-inch piece (about 20 grams) fresh ginger root, (peeled, sliced)
- 2 tablespoons honey, (raw preferred for extra benefits)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup coconut water
Instructions
- Combine blueberries, lemon quarters, ginger, honey, black pepper, and coconut water in a blender.
- Blend on high for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, pushing the juice through with a spoon. For a smoother consistency, a cheesecloth can be used.
- Pour the extracted juice into small glasses or shot bottles using a funnel. Repeat until all the juice is dispensed.
- Seal the bottles or cover the glasses and refrigerate until chilled.
- Stir or shake before drinking, as natural separation may occur.
Notes
For added sweetness, adjust honey to your taste.
Store in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days for maximum freshness.
Feel free to substitute honey with maple syrup for a vegan version.
