Description

The Superfood Blueberry Lemon Shot brings together vibrant blueberries, zesty lemon, and ginger for an energizing and tasty treat. Perfect for a quick health boost!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (296 g) fresh blueberries, (or frozen)
  • 2 medium lemons, (peeled, quartered)
  • 2-inch piece (about 20 grams) fresh ginger root, (peeled, sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons honey, (raw preferred for extra benefits)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup coconut water

Instructions

  1. Combine blueberries, lemon quarters, ginger, honey, black pepper, and coconut water in a blender.
  2. Blend on high for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, pushing the juice through with a spoon. For a smoother consistency, a cheesecloth can be used.
  4. Pour the extracted juice into small glasses or shot bottles using a funnel. Repeat until all the juice is dispensed.
  5. Seal the bottles or cover the glasses and refrigerate until chilled.
  6. Stir or shake before drinking, as natural separation may occur.

Notes

For added sweetness, adjust honey to your taste.
Store in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days for maximum freshness.
Feel free to substitute honey with maple syrup for a vegan version.
